With precise charge voltage adjustment, the Skylla TG Charger protects batteries from overcharging and ensures long service life. This is especially crucial for sealed maintenance-free batteries, which can be damaged by overvoltage, leading to excessive gassing, venting, and failure.
Dual AC and DC Supply Compatibility
Except for 3-phase input models, the Skylla TG Charger accepts both AC and DC supply, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including AC-DC and DC-DC operation.
Controlled 3-Step Charging
Equipped with a microprocessor, the Skylla TG Charger follows a precise IUoUo characteristic for controlled 3-step charging. This process ensures rapid and efficient charging compared to conventional methods.
Power Supply Capability
Thanks to its stabilised output voltage, the Skylla TG Charger can also function as a power supply when batteries or large buffer capacitors are not available.
Dual Outputs for 24V Models
The 24V Skylla TG Chargers feature two isolated outputs, allowing you to charge two separate battery banks. The second output, limited to approximately 4A and with a slightly lower voltage, is designed to top up a starter battery.
Temperature Compensation for Battery Longevity
Each Skylla TG Charger comes with a battery temperature sensor. This sensor automatically reduces charge voltage as battery temperature increases, preventing overcharging and extending the lifespan of sealed batteries.
Battery Voltage Sense
To compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance, the charger includes a voltage sense facility, ensuring the battery always receives the correct charge voltage for optimal performance.
